Heya <<First Name>>,

Oh, my. Be careful what you wish for.

Last week I asked for read-aloud suggestions and your replies were an embarrassment of riches. Thank you for all the great ideas!

Here’s a sampling of the books you recommended …

I took 18 of your suggested titles and added them to our new “What Do I Read Next?” page.

Hope you like it.

So many books, so little time

I have to admit, though, that with your suggestions … and the stack of to-read books on my shelf … and the haul I just picked up from Powell’s in Portland, Oregon … I was starting to feel a bit overwhelmed.

Then I came across an essay on reading that included this quote:

“Underread — what a fabulous word! …
We are all underread.
We are eternally underread.”

When I think about it that way, it’s kind of a relief to know there will always be another great book out there waiting for me.

Happy reading!
